A customer service platform for a business in Saudi Arabia has to do three things well. It has to handle WhatsApp, because that is where most customers write first. It has to understand Saudi and Gulf Arabic the way customers actually type it, not only Modern Standard Arabic. And it has to put chat and phone calls in front of the same team, so nobody asks the customer to repeat themselves.

Below are seven platforms worth a look in 2026: what each one is, how it handles WhatsApp, Arabic and calls, what it costs to start, where it keeps your data, and who it suits. The prices are the ones each vendor publishes, in US dollars, before WhatsApp message fees and AI usage.

How we chose

We looked at the things that decide whether a platform works for a Saudi support team:

  • Channels: the WhatsApp Business Platform (API), Instagram, website live chat, email and phone calls.
  • Arabic: whether the vendor's own documentation names Arabic, and whether it names Gulf or Saudi dialects.
  • AI: whether an AI agent answers customers, and how it is priced.
  • Data hosting: where the vendor says customer data is stored.
  • Price: the published starting price, and what it includes.

We only state what each vendor publishes. Where a vendor's pages don't say something, we say so instead of guessing.

The seven platforms

1. Nateq — best for Saudi businesses whose customers write in dialect on WhatsApp

Nateq is an AI customer service platform that puts WhatsApp, phone calls, website chat, Instagram, Facebook and email in one inbox. Its AI agent answers in Gulf Arabic, including Saudi dialect, as well as Franco-Arabic and English, and hands the customer to a person with the full conversation attached.

  • WhatsApp: official WhatsApp Business Platform, on every plan.
  • Arabic: Gulf Arabic including Saudi, Franco-Arabic and English.
  • Calls: in the same inbox as chat.
  • Price: per seat, with a 14-day free trial. See Nateq pricing.
  • Data hosting: in the EU (Frankfurt) today, not in Saudi Arabia.

How to choose

  • If most conversations arrive on WhatsApp in Saudi dialect, test each shortlisted platform with real messages from your customers, dialect and spelling mistakes included, before you sign.
  • If phone calls are most of your volume, start with a contact centre such as ZIWO, or a platform that puts calls in the same inbox as chat.
  • If your legal team needs customer data stored in Saudi Arabia, Lucidya and ZIWO state Saudi hosting; Freshdesk offers a UAE data center.
  • Add up the full cost: the seat price, the plan you need for WhatsApp and calls, AI usage charges, and Meta's WhatsApp message fees. Our WhatsApp cost calculator helps with the last one.

PDPL and where your data lives

Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) sets conditions on processing personal data and on transferring it outside the Kingdom. It does not ban every platform hosted abroad, but it does mean you should know where each vendor stores data and review any transfer with your legal adviser. Of the seven platforms here, Lucidya and ZIWO state that data is hosted in Saudi Arabia, Freshdesk offers a UAE data center, and Nateq, Zendesk and Intercom host outside the GCC.
